    It's just another hack and slash game. I guess you could call it D&D type game. Ya know kill the monsters, collect shit, advance to another floor. I believe over 100 of these type games have been developed and sold.

    That sounds very Roguelike.

    I still play the original Rogue from time to time, but I bet that does not help you :-P

    Heck, there are people who has been playing Nethack for about a decade and is not close to beating it.

    That sounds very Roguelike.

    I played it on the X360. 'Hack and Slash' is a good way to put it. Its gameplay is more closely similar to something like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance: choose one of three character types, roam a dungeon and fight monsters, collect treasure, return to the village to buy better gear, go back to the dungeon and repeat. I don't recall whether or not the dungeons are procedurally generated like roguelikes tend to be, but I could be wrong.
